John Kingston has 30 years' experience as a journalist, 28 years of which he has spent covering commodities. He joined Platts in 1985 and is now its global director of oil, managing the editorial oil team worldwide, which consists of all market and news reporters. Kingston is also director of news, and thereby provides guidance on the Platts news coverage across all sectors of energy and metals and the expansion of that coverage. Kingston holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and communications from Washington & Lee University.
