Storage capacity is a growing problem in the nation’s ports and terminals. In addition to the United States using more petroleum products, there are a greater number of specialized feedstocks that need to be stored and transported. In addition to capacity, getting the product to and from storage terminals is difficult with railroad constrictions, high demand for barges, and the inability of ethanol to be transported through a pipeline. Companies in the industry are working to meet the demand for refined products, boosted by investors with a heightened interest in the advantages offered by Master Limited Partnerships.
Platts Refined Products Storage and Transportation conference will feature in-depth case studies and discussion on these critical topics:
- Investment in MLPs
- Expansion of storage capacity
- Biofuels and specialty feedstocks
- Overcoming railroad and barge transportation challenges
- Regional outlooks
