Platts reporters and other credentialed press convened to hear Gregory Jaczko, the chairman of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), holds his last news conference before leaving the agency. Jaczko discusses developments at NRC during his more than seven years as a commissioner -- the last three years as chairman. Among them are NRC actions on the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan, the first new reactor licenses in three decades and safety at nuclear power plants. He will also comment on challenges facing the agency in the future.
