Entso-e invites power grid developers to apply for 2014 plan

London (Platts)--21Jan2013/904 am EST/1404 GMT

European organization for power transmission system operators Entso-e has invited independent developers to submit third party electricity infrastructure applications for inclusion in its 2014 10-Year Network Development plan.

Developers should submit applications by March 1.

Under the EU's third package of energy market reforms, Entso-e and its natural gas counterpart Entsog, have to publish 10-year network development plans every two years, highlighting investment priorities for upgrading and maintaining EU power grids.

Entso-e expects to open an eight-week public consultation in March 2014 on the plan.

Guidance on the application process can be accessed at www.entsoe.eu.
