The nor'easter is expected to bring heavy rain, wind and snow showers to portions of the Northeast on Wednesday and Thursday.

"In preparation for the nor'easter, ISO New England has engaged in conference calls with the Northeast Power Coordinating Council and the New England local control centers," ISO spokeswoman Marcia Blomberg said. "We are also bringing in additional control room staff this evening."
