Specialty metals maker Materion Brush Performance Alloys said Monday it would increase the list price on a number of its copper-based products.

Materion said it would raise by 5% its fabrication list prices worldwide on premium grades of copper alloy and copper beryllium alloy rod, bar and tube products, the change applying to orders placed effective February 18.

Company officials were not immediately available for comment.

The Mayfield Heights, Ohio-based company is a unit of Materion Brush, which is a subsidiary of Materion Corp.

The company said its products are used in end markets including telecommunications and computers, automotive electronics, appliances and industrial components.
