Ukrainian exports of ferronickel in the first 10 months of 2012 rose to 89,240 mt, nearly 59% above the 56,280 mt exported in the same period of 2011, the state statistics committee said Wednesday. Revenue from exports of the commodity soared 86.7% to $268.3 million in the period, up from $143.7 million in January-October 2011, the committee said. Over January-October Ukraine exported 39,930 mt of ferronickel to Germany, up from 20,280 mt a year ago and exports to the Netherlands rose to 33,230 mt from 29,430 mt. Ukraine also exported 15,010 mt of ferronickel to South Korea, up from 6,150 mt a year ago. In October alone Ukraine exported 11,030 mt of ferronickel, up from 5,830 mt a year ago and above the 8,120 mt exported in September. Ukraine's exports of ferrotitanium in January-October rose to 2,020 mt, 3.1% above the 1,960 mt exported a year ago, the committee said. At the same time, revenues from exports of ferrotitanium fell to $9.2 million from $9.4 million a year ago.
