Japan's Oct 11-20 CIF crude import price up 0.7% from Oct 1-10

Japan's CIF crude import price over October 11-20 averaged Yen 56,857/kl ($115.71/barrel), up 0.7% from Yen 56,463/kl over October 1-10, data released Thursday by the Ministry of Finance showed.

The October 11-20 price was up 6.8% from Yen 53,239/kl in the same period a year ago.

The dollar/yen exchange rate averaged Yen 78.12 over October 11-20, compared with Yen 78.24 over October 1-10 and Yen 76.65 a year ago.

Japan imports around 90% of its crude oil from the Middle East, 30% of which is from Saudi Arabia. It takes about 20-25 days to ship crude from the Middle East to Japan.
