The Chinese government will regulate bunker deliveries at ports in Shenzhen over August 10-19, as an athlete meet will be held in the city during that period, industry sources said Wednesday.

Bunker fuel deliveries will be allowed only from 6am-6pm local time (2200 GMT-1000 GMT) over August 10-13, at the ports of Shekou, Chiwan, Mawan, Dachan Bay and Youlian Shipyard, one of the sources said. Deliveries at Yantian port will be allowed only during August 13-19.

Normally, operations are allowed 24-hours a day.

An international athletics meet for students -- called Universiade -- is to be held in the city over August 12-23. It is held in different parts of the world every two years.
