Gala Colover

Gala Colover is one of Platts' European energy policy specialists.

She has been editor of Platts' EU Energy newsletter since 2003, reporting on the implication of and reaction to energy policy coming out of the EU institutions in Brussels and their implementation in the EU member states, as well as energy policy in Switzerland and Norway.

Gala joined Platts from Financial Times Energy, where she also covered European energy policy news. Gala developed her knowledge of the EU process in Brussels, where she worked on a European Commission project from 1998 to 2001, reporting on EU science, research and innovation policy.

Prior to that Gala freelanced as a broadcast journalist, specializing in science and technology features for radio. Gala has an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College, London, and a BSc (Hons) in Oceanography.
