David R. Jones

David R. Jones is Platts' renewable energy markets editor. He has served as editor of the fortnightly Platts Renewable Energy Report since 2004, reporting on renewable energy policies and markets, including wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, hydropower and marine energy.

David has worked as an environmental journalist for 25 years, editing newsletters on solid waste, oil pollution, medical waste, and US state and local government.

He also has edited several books on public policy and written freelance articles for numerous publications, including the Washington Post.

David joined Platts in 2001 and covered US energy science policy in Washington, DC before moving to London to edit Renewable Energy Report.
