Alessandro Vitelli has a bachelor's degree in politics and French from the University of Reading, UK.
He also studied at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris. Alessandro first joined Platts in 1988, specializing in the petrochemicals and LPG sectors and eventually working as Director of Petrochemicals until 2000.
He then worked as a consultant before joining PVM Associates as a broker.
In 2003 Mr Vitelli returned to Platts, working on the oil products desk before launching the company's emissions department in February 2005.
