Ethylene prices fell 7% in April to $1,248 per metric tons (/mt). This was down from $1,349/mt in March. The price drop was attributed to lower raw input naphtha costs. Prices of naphtha, which is used to produce ethylene at most European and Asian crackers, were down 11% globally in April.
