Tumbling toluene, MX prices in US speak to lower gasoline, downstream demand

Over the past month, US toluene and mixed xylene prices have both fallen more than 20% as gasoline blending demand has fallen. Platts petrochemical editors John Calton and Jeremy Rakes look at specific prices for each market, the relation to gasoline prices, chemical demand for each as a feedstock, exports from the US and derivative margins.
