Brazilian drivers benefit from cheap hydrous ethanol

Brazil's total hydrous ethanol consumption jumped 48% from the beginning of this year's sugarcane season in April through June, reaching a total of 4 billion liters. Alessandra Rosete, Platts agriculture analyst, talks with Beatriz Pupo, biofuels analyst and reporter, about the surging hydrous ethanol consumption in Brazil and how much it means for the problem-plagued sugar industry. Consumers are looking for the cheapest fuel at the pump, and high consumption rate could stretch into the fall.
