The Midstream segment activities include upgrading of heavy crude oil feedstock into synthetic crude oil; marketing of the company's and other producers' crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, sulphur, and petroleum coke; and pipeline transportation and processing of heavy crude oil, storage of crude oil, diluent and natural gas, and cogeneration of electrical and thermal energy.

The Refined Products segments operations include refining of crude oil and marketing of refined petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, ethanol blended fuels, asphalt, and ancillary products.

The company sells and distributes transportation fuels, including ethanol blended fuels through independently operated petroleum outlets, including service stations; truck stops; and bulk distribution facilities, such as 24 hour restaurants, convenience stores, service bays, car washes, fast food sales, bank machines, and propane sales.

As of December 31, 2005, Husky's proved plus probable oil and gas reserves included 2,260 mmboe comprised of 462 mmbbls of light crude oil and NGL, 105 mmbbls of medium crude oil, 291 mmbbls of heavy crude oil, 951 mmbbls of bitumen, and 2.7 bcf of natural gas.

As of the above date, it operated 515 Husky and Mohawk branded petroleum product outlets in Canada.

The company was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
