Polymer imports continue playing important role for Mexico's market

Although the third polyethylene plant at Braskem-Idesa's petrochemical complex came online in June, US exports of polyethylene to Mexico have increased for five consecutive months. Emmanuel Gallegos has details on the operations at the complex in Mexico's petrochemical hub in Veracruz state as well as S&P Global Platts Analytics forecasts on Mexico's PE deficit. Further, S&P Global Platts will report domestic prices in Mexico to further encourage transparency in the expanding market.
