The top 10 oil industry stories of 2007

We want your help. We want you to tell us what you think were the 10 biggest oil industry news stories
of 2007.

This was an eventful year in our business; really, what year isn't? But certainly, it does seem like the industry was buffeted by change and crosscurrents at a pace that exceeds most years. So we've set up a survey on Survey Monkey. You can get there by clicking this link.

It's very simple. There are about 40 news stories listed, from all corners of the globe, and you click off which one you think was the biggest event, which was the second biggest, and so on. You can go up to 10, but you can click fewer than that if you so choose. You also can fill in a box at the bottom that tells us any stories that our list may have missed. It's hard to imagine it taking you more than a few minutes.

This is an unscientific poll, and the results are not going to undergo complex statistical interpretation. It will be open through December 24, and after Christmas, we'll tell you the results here at The Barrel. We won't venture a guess at the results.

Feel free to send the link around to as many people that you know. The wider the number of respondents, the more interesting the responses.
