Vitol signs contract to supply Egypt with 9 LNG cargoes from June

Swiss trader Vitol signed a contract with Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, or Egas, on February 19 for the supply of nine LNG cargoes over two years starting from June 2015, Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum said in a statement Thursday.

Egas awarded the nine cargoes to Vitol in a buy tender that closed October 30, 2014.

As part of the same tender, Egas has signed two separate contracts with Trafigura for the supply of 33 cargoes over 2015-2016, and with Noble Group for the delivery of seven cargoes over two years from April.

The remaining 21 cargoes were awarded to UK's BP, with which Egas is currently negotiating the terms of the contract, the statement said.
