The Trump administration has reopened a review of 2022-2025 fuel economy standards, which have a major impact on the vehicles automakers produce and, arguably, a modest impact on petroleum demand in the future.

Senior oil editor Brian Scheid talks with Drew Kodjak, executive director of the International Council on Clean Transportation, about whether the administration is expected to weaken the standards and how any decision could impact state standards — especially in California.
