California, 16 other states and the District of Columbia have sued the Environmental Protection Agency challenging the Trump administration’s move to weaken fuel economy standards for 2022-2025 model year cars and light trucks.

John Gioia, a member of the California Air Resources Board, joins Capitol Crude to talk about what California expects to accomplish with the lawsuit and whether rising oil prices will play a role in this dispute.
