Buoyant mood prevails as global steel execs gather in Brussels

The mood of C-level executives attending the World Steel Association's annual meeting in Brussels was more upbeat than in years past, as mill margins and finished steel prices remain elevated. But the extent of China's phased out induction furnace capacity surprised many when worldsteel released its demand projections. And US executives expressed concern regarding the delay in President Trump’s Section 232 imports investigation.
