Platts proposes quality premium for Murban crude oil in Middle East benchmark assessments

After months of discussions and extensive feedback from the industry, Platts is now proposing to introduce quality premiums for Murban crude oil delivered into its Middle East crude oil benchmark. In this video, Vanessa Ronsisvalle, senior analyst for Platts Asian oil price group, and Gurdeep Singh, managing editor for crude oil in Asia and the Middle East, explain details of the proposal and what it would mean for the benchmarks.
