As summer approaches, the US Gulf Coast gasoline markets looks to supplemental summer-grade assessments to add transparency to the market. Matthew Kohlman, senior managing editor, Americas refined products, explains how the addition of supplemental assessments has become a bit more complex this year thanks to big market changes, including Colonial Pipeline dropping one of the summer grades of conventional 87 octane gasoline from its summer shipping schedule.
